Welcome aboard the Skane Jet

The Skane Jet is a catamaran of the FRS Baltic shipping company and offers the fastest connection between Germany and Sweden. In only 2.5 hours it connects the idyll of Rügen with the beautiful southern Swedish region of Skåne.

A ship with history

The 91-meter-long high-speed catamaran can reach a top speed of up to 44 knots unloaded thanks to its four Ruston engines and 40,000 hp. Shortly to its launch in 1998, the ship impressively demonstrated its speed when it crossed the Atlantic from the U.S. to the U.K. in just 2 days, 17 hours and 59 minutes. The jet thus beat the existing record by an impressive 34 hours and was awarded the prestigious Blue Ribbon for the fastest transatlantic crossing.

Aboard the Skane Jet

On board the Skane Jet you can expect an entertainment system, a gastronomic offer as well as attractive shopping possibilities. The intelligent layout of the ship means that the vehicles on board do not have to turn around, but can drive back down in a semicircle – a real advantage.

Destinations and offers

With the Skane Jet you can go directly to the cottage or take a round trip through Sweden. Conveniently book the car package and save on booking additional passengers for the high-speed catamaran crossing. There is also a special offer for campers.

FRS Baltic also offers day trips, for example to Copenhagen or along the south coast of Skåne. Also take advantage of the night departures and save up to 30% to the regular daily price on Fridays and Saturdays.
