Press release on the action:
Next stop – Gotland! Tallink Silja starts ticket sales for the Special Cruises this summer
Tallink Silja opened ticket sales for its popular summer cruises this morning. Similar to previous years, customers will again have the opportunity to safely enjoy their favorite Nordic and Baltic destinations – the Åland Islands and Gotland.
Travelers can explore the Åland Islands for the Midsummer Night Festival on June 23, the peak of Scandinavia’s white nights. The second Special Cruise will take them to the traditional Autumn Festival on September 16 from Helsinki via Tallinn.
For Gotland lovers, Tallink Silja has a particularly large number of tours in its summer program this year: on July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, as well as on August 7, the ship departs from Tallinn for the Gotland capital of Visby.
The Special Cruises take place aboard Silja Europa, with all departures to Visby and Åland in the late afternoon and evening from Helsinki and Tallinn. The ship arrives in Visby at 9:00 local time the next morning and departs Visby to Tallinn and Helsinki at 20:30 the same evening. Likewise with the Åland Cruises: here, the ship arrives in Mariehamn the next morning at 10:00 local time and from again the same evening at 18:00, giving passengers a total of eight hours to explore the sights of the beautiful archipelago.
Marina Jõgi, Head of Sales at Tallink Grupp, commented on the travel options offered for the summer peak season: “Over the past two years, we have offered our passengers numerous opportunities to visit Åland. In response to growing demand, this year we offer our customers more opportunities to discover the other island treasure of the Baltic Sea – Gotland. With weekly sailings from Helsinki and Tallinn to Visby this summer, there are more opportunities to fit this special mini-cruise into your vacation calendar.”
“This year we are offering our customers the opportunity to visit Åland on two very special dates – in midsummer to enjoy the magic of the white nights in Scandinavia, and during the Harvest Festival in autumn, when the Open Farm Day takes place and Åland offers many activities for the whole family,” Jõgi continues.
Tickets for Tallink Silja’s special summer cruises from Helsinki and Tallinn to Åland and Gotland can be booked on to company’s website at www.tallinksilja.de from today, February 3, 2022.
