Arrival by car
How to reach the Positano ferry port in Italy by car:
- From the north (e.g. Naples): Take the A3/E45 highway in the direction of Salerno. Leave the highway at the Castellammare di Stabia exit and follow the SS145 and later the SS163 along the Amalfi Coast to Positano.
- From the east (e.g. Salerno): Drive west on the SS163 along the Amalfi Coast to Positano.
- In Positano, you should look for a parking space, as you cannot drive directly to the ferry terminal.
Arrival by bus & train
There are regular bus connections from surrounding towns such as Sorrento, Amalfi and Salerno to Positano. From Sorrento train station, you can take the SITA bus to Positano.
Arrival by plane
The nearest airport is Naples Airport (NAP). From the airport, you can either take a rental car and follow the SS145 or take the bus or train to Sorrento train station and from there continue by bus to Positano.
