The city of Trapani fascinates with its unique position on a crescent-shaped headland. The landmark of the city is the Castello della Colombaia, situated on a rocky island. A tour of the old town leads to Piazza Garibaldi, the baroque cathedral and Villa Margherita. At the tip of the headland, on a rocky cliff, is the Torre de Ligny. It dates from 1671 and today houses the Museum of Early and Prehistory.
