The largest city in the Basque Country is known for its Guggenheim Museum, the Zubizuri footbridge over the Rio Nervión and the Museo de Bellas Artes with works by Goya, Cra to and El Greco. In the old town of Casco Viejo there are numerous historical buildings, small shops, restaurants and cafes. The cathedral of Bilbao, whose history dates back to the 14th century, is also located here. Pilgrims to the Way of St. James like to stop here. The local mountain from Monta Artxanda, offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city and its sights.
