The old Spanish port city of Cadiz is situated on a headland and is almost completely surrounded by the sea. Its more than 100 watchtowers, city gates and the 18th century cathedral characterize the image of this beautiful city. In the evening, the promenade is a popular meeting place when the setting sun bathes the historic buildings and the Castillo de San Sebastián in a golden light. And as if so much beauty were not enough, an ancient amphitheatre was discovered during construction work in 1980.
