The city of Genoa stretches along a narrow strip of coastline, leaving little room for wide boulevards and spacious squares. Here in Genoa, the alleys are narrow, the houses are high and even the magnificent Via Garibaldi is not eight metres wide. The city enchants its guests with beautiful squares, magnificent palaces and an impressive cathedral. Also worth seeing are the old harbour, the maritime museum and the lighthouse. With a height of 76 meters it is the highest in Europe.
