Latvia’s third largest city is a traditional Hanseatic town with magnificent Art Nouveau town houses and numerous churches and museums. Very popular is the pedestrian zone Tirgonu with its boutiques, craft shops, restaurants and cafes. Military history still lingers in the air at the wartime port of Karosta, while the eight-kilometre-long sandy beach is a peaceful place to relax.

You have various options for getting to the Liepāja ferry port:
Arrival by car, motorcycle, motorhome
If you are traveling from Riga, follow the A9 freeway and follow the signs to “Osta”. When you reach the exit where the sign “Brivosta” appears, turn right and stay on the main road. Follow this road until you cross the railroad tracks and then take the left fork to the Stena Line ferry terminal in Liepāja.
For travelers coming from Klaipeda, we recommend using the Zirnu road. Cross the railroad bridge, turn left and pass two crossroads. Shortly before the third junction, switch to the outer right-hand lane and then turn right from there. Follow Raina Street until you reach the crossroads with signs with the pictogram “Pramis” (ferry). Turn left from here, cross the railroad tracks and take another left turn to reach the Stena Line ferry terminal in Liepāja.
Arrival by public transport (bus)
To get to the Liepaja ferry port, simply take bus number 10 or 11 and get off at the Silku Street stop. From there it is only a 25-30 minute walk to the ferry terminal. You have to cross the intersection with the main road and walk to the end of Silku Street. As soon as you reach Brivostas Street, cross the railroad line and turn left to go directly to the Stena Line ferry terminal.
