How to reach the ferry port of den Helder in the Netherlands by car:

  • From the south (e.g. Amsterdam): Follow the A7 northbound until exit 13 (Wieringerwerf). From there, follow the N240 to Den Helder and the signs to the harbor.
  • From the south (e.g. Rotterdam): Take the A4 towards Amsterdam Shiphol and then change to the A9 heading north. In Alkmaar, change to the N9 towards Den Helder.
  • From the east (e.g. Groningen or Eemshaven): Take the A7 south to exit 14 (Den Helder). Then follow the N99 to Den Helder.
