How to get to the Tsuruga ferry port in Japan by car:

  • From Kyoto and Osaka: Drive north on National Road 367. Then switch first to national road 303 heading west and later to national road 27 heading north to Tsuruga. There, follow the signs to the ferry port.
  • From Fukui: Take Route 8 (Fukui Bypass) south to Tsuruga.

Arrival by bus & train

The Tsuruga ferry port can be reached by bus and train. Regular buses run from Tsuruga station to the ferry port.

Arrival by plane

The nearest airport is Komatsu Airport. From there you can take a cab or the train to Tsuruga. From the station, follow the signs to the ferry port.
