How to get to the ferry port of Vigo in Spain by car:

  • From the north (e.g. Santiago de Compostela): Follow the AP-9 highway south to Vigo. Take exit 158A (Vigo/Gran Vía) and follow Avenida de Madrid and Calle de García Barbón until you reach Rúa Cánovas del Castillo.
  • From the east (e.g. Ourense): Take the A-52 highway to the A-55 highway and then take the AP-9 highway towards Vigo. Follow the instructions as if coming from the north.
  • From the south (e.g. Portugal): Follow the A-3 highway and then the AP-9 highway towards Vigo. Follow the instructions as if coming from the north.

Arrival by bus & train

Vigo has a well-developed public transportation network. Vigo Bus Station (Estación de Autobuses) and Vigo-Guixar Central Station offer connections to the city and the surrounding area. From the bus and train stations, you can take a cab to the ferry port or use the city bus network.
