Holiday in Morocco

The“Gateway to Africa” connects European and African culture. Everywhere you can feel the touch of the Orient. Morocco enchants with magnificent royal cities, colourful markets, green oases, barren mountain ranges and endless desert. Hospitality and a varied cuisine make a stay in Morocco an unforgettable experience.

TOP excursion destinations in Morocco

With Marrakech, Fez, Meknes and Rabat, four major royal cities in Morocco make the hearts of culture lovers beat faster. They captivate their visitors with colourful markets, oriental old towns, richly decorated palaces, imposing fortifications and famous mosques.

As Morocco’s largest city, Casablanca offers a mix of Art Deco and Moorish styles. Once a French colony, the city now boasts a gigantic mosque. The minaret of the famous Hassan II Mosque is 210 metres high, with a laser pointing from the top towards Mecca.

At the foot of the Rif mountains you will experience a place full of colours. In Chefchaouen the houses of the old town shine in strong blue. The paint is supposed to protect the residents from evil eyes. The doors, window frames and stairs are also decorated in blue. Together with colourful flower decorations, wonderful photo motifs are created here.

Without a doubt, a trip to the Sahara belongs to a stay in Morocco. The dune landscapes of Erg Chebbi and M’Hamid are among the most beautiful in the world. Here you can visit oases and Bedouin camps, ride camels and admire a breathtaking night sky.

The Atlas Mountains with their snow-covered peaks dominate Morocco’s landscape. The highest peak “Jebel Toubkal” rises to a height of 4,168 meters. Ideal for trekking enthusiasts – but also for skiers! Morocco’s seven ski resorts are among the most exceptional in the world.

In Paradise Valley, the name says it all. Canyons, rocks, palm trees, waterfalls and picturesque pools invite you to a truly paradisiacal stay.

Entry requirements

German citizens can enter Morocco with a passport. An identity card alone is NOT sufficient. It is also important to note that all travel documents must still be valid for at least six months upon entry. No visa is required for entry into Morocco.

Alternative travel options

Getting there by land takes a lot of time. Through France and Spain you can easily reach all ferry ports in the direction of Morocco. The same applies to the trip with the Europa bus. It’s quicker by plane. There are international airports in Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Casablanca and Fez.
