The Italian shipping company Grandi Navi VelociGNV for short – was founded in 1992 by Aldo Grimaldi. The company is headquartered in Genoa. The owner is the Swiss-Italian shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). The ferries of the fleet operate in to Mediterranean Sea.

Major Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) ferry routes

There are currently 15 ferries to 17 different routes. The Italian mainland ports are Genoa, Civitavecchia, Bari and Naples. From here there are crossings to Sardinia, Sicily, Albania, France, Spain and Tunisia. There are also ferry connections from Genoa, Sète and Barcelona to Morocco. Depending to route, connections are offered one to seven times a week. The journey time ranges from around nine hours on to Bari – Durres route to just under 40 hours to Sète – Tanger Med route.
