The Finnlines shipping company
Finnlines was founded in 1947. To date, the company has developed into one of the largest Northern European liner shipping companies. More than 20 modern ships bring passengers and cargo reliably and safely to their destination. The company’s headquarters are in Helsinki. The shipping company’s passenger ferries connect Germany, Finland and Sweden across the Baltic Sea. There are three routes to choose from . All ferries are combined freight and passenger ferries and therefore offer sufficient space for bicycles, motorcycles, cars and campers.

The Travemünde-Helsinki route
The Travemünde-Helsinki route is used all year round and takes you directly to the Finnish capital in 29 hours. There are various child offers to choose from for your crossing. On board you can look forward to enjoyable culinary moments and a wide range of leisure activities. Lavish buffets pamper you with Finnish, Nordic and German cuisine, theme weeks, bistros and bars provide additional variety. Meal packages can be booked in advance. While you are discovering the range in the on-board shop, your children are in good hands to the playroom and in the teens lounge. Your crossing will be particularly relaxed with a visit to the sauna from with whirlpool and subsequent massage. The fitness room offers more active passengers sufficient exercise. In the evening, entertainers and live music provide carefree entertainment before you – well rested and relaxed – the Finnish capital welcomes you.
The Travemünde-Malmö route
The Travemünde-Malmö route is offered up to three times a day and allows travelers a great deal of flexibility. If you decide to leave for an evening or night from booking from cabin is mandatory. The same applies if you travel with a pet. There is from choice of different child and price categories on board. On your nine-hour crossing to Sweden, a bar, a shop and a sauna with whirlpool provide entertainment. Children will feel particularly comfortable in the children’s corner and in the children’s pool. Of course, physical well-being is by no means neglected to this route. The ship from restaurant offers a varied and rich buffet. Various meal packages can be booked from advance and save money.
The Kapellskär-Långnäs-Naantali route
With the Kapellskär-Långnäs-Naantali route, Finnlines offers travelers a direct connection from Sweden to Norway and back. There are various child categories to choose from for your trip. All meals on board are already included in the tour price. During your nine-hour crossing, you can take advantage of the low prices in the duty-free shop to go shopping or make yourself comfortable in the panorama lounge or to the outside deck. Pets are also welcome to the Kapellskär-Långnäs-Naantali route – “tree stump” included. However from no animal is compulsory.
