The shipping company Stena Line - England and Scandinavia ferries
The Swedish shipping company Stena Line was founded in 1962 by Sten Allan Olsson and is considered one of the world’s largest ferry companies. To this day, the shipping company is family-owned and its headquarters are in Gothenburg. The Gothenburg-Skagen route marked the company’s entry into the passenger ferry business in its founding year. The success story continues to this day, with the company recording 448,000 passengers to its traditional Kiel-Gothenburg route for 2019. Stena Line’s fleet currently consists of 36 ferries. In the future, the company plans to expand its short-haul and group travel segments as well as its rail-based freight business.

Stena Line operates to 16 routes and connects Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Latvia and Poland with its Baltic ferries. Other routes connect Holland and France with Great Britain and Ireland. The Irish Sea is also served by Stena Line. On the short routes, the ferries sometimes from several times a day. There is enough space for motorcycles, cars and campers.
